The ignition key can be removed.
Position I = ride-on mower including en-
gine and electrical equipment is in opera-
tion.
Position II = Start position to actuate the
starter.
Release the ignition key as soon as
the engine is running. It then springs
back to position I.
The engine is started if all the following conditions
are fulfilled:

Drive pedals are not actuated.

Button to start the blade is not actuated, i.e it
is in position STOP.

Operator is sitting on the driver's seat and/or
hand brake is applied.
If any one of these conditions is not fulfilled, no
release signal for starting is present, and the con-
trol light flashes. The engine cannot be started.
Button for reverse mowing (07/4)
As soon as the ride-on mower is reversed, the
engine, and therefore the mower mechanism, is
switched off automatically. To mow while rever-
sing, a deliberate operational action is required.

while reversing, press this button.

This button has two switch positions, indicated on
a label:

If you attempt to switch on the mower mecha-
nism without fulfilling the specified safety conditi-
ons, the engine is stopped. When the mower me-
chanism is switched off (position STOP) the blade
brake is activated at the same time.
CAUTION!
Danger of personal injury from blades
which run on!
When the cutting blades are turning
or running down, they can cause lace-
ration injuries to hands and feet.
Therefore, keep hands and feet away
from the blade.
Parking brake lever (08/1)
Always operate this lever before climbing off, and
thereby prevent the parked ride-on mower from
setting itself in motion. To lock the parking brake,
pull the parking brake lever towards you (position
A) and then to the left. To release move the par-
king brake lever to the right (position B).
Drive pedals for forward (09/1) and reverse
motion (09/2)
The ride-on mower is equipped with a foot-ope-
rated hydrostatic transmission. There are two pe-
dals on the right side, for driving forwards and in
reverse.
The reverse and forward speed range depends
on the setting of the slider control for the engine
speed (07/1).
