T-Connector Wiring Kit
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Open the vehicles rear tailgate
and remove the threshold trim
plate (Fig. 1A) and the electrical
access panel. The access panel
will be located on the trim panels
near the tail gate on each side
(Fig. 1B).
3. Locate the vehicles tail light wiring harness inside the
access panel. The harness will have connectors similar to
those on the the T-Connector harness.
4. Beginning with the left (drivers) side, disconnect the
vehicle harness connectors, taking care not to damage the
locking tabs. Check the connectors for dirt and debris and
clean if necessary.
5. Position the T-Connector ends with the Yellow wire
between the separated vehicle connectors. Firmly press the
connector ends together until the locking tabs engage. Take
care not to damage the locking tabs.
6. Find a clean area near the wiring harness to attach the
ground screw. Clear away any dust or debris and drill a
3/32" hole.
Caution: Do not drill into any exposed surfaces or
through the vehicle body.
