T-Connector Wiring Kit
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2A. (Malibu Maxx) Open
trunk and remove both taillight
assemblies by removing two
screws on each taillight, and
prying and pulling away from
the vehicle, while being careful
not to damage the alignment
tabs.
2B. (Malibu Classic) Open trunk and remove the following
parts ,trunk threshold , 1 plastic felt liner nut on each side, 2
plastic wing nuts on both taillight assemblies, (1 screw on
each taillight located on the outside of the vehicle), remove
taillight assemblies by prying and pulling away from the
vehicle, being careful not to damage the alignment tabs.
3. On the driver's side & passengers' side disconnect the
taillight socket connectors that match the connectors on the
T-Connector assembly. Taking care not to break the locking
tabs.
4. Beginning on the Left Driver's side, route the T-Connector
containing the Yellow wire up from underneath the vehicle
through the opening between the bumper and body panel.
Make sure to plug the T-Connector ends firmly into the
vehicle harness connectors until they lock into place. Take
care not to damage the locking tabs.
