5th Wheel & Gooseneck Harness
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Locate the vehicles
factory OEM trailer light
wiring harness. The harness
will be located behind
the bumper along the left
(driver's) side frame rail and
will be connected to the vehicle's
7-way trailer connector, mounted to
the hitch or bumper at the rear of the
vehicle (Fig. 1). The harness will have
a pair of connectors similar to
the paired connectors on the 5th wheel
wiring harness (fig. 2).
3. Separate the vehicle harness connectors by carefully
pressing the locking tabs (fig. 2A) and gently pulling the
connectors apart.
Note: Take care not to damage the locking tabs.
4. Position the paired extension harness ends between
the vehicle harness connectors, firmly pressing the ends
together until the locking tabs engage.
5. Route the remainder of the extension harness along the
outside of the vehicle's left (driver's) side frame rail toward
the front of the pickup box.
