6. FITTING THE DRIVETRAINS

• Make sure that a cable guide plate is
installed underneath the bottom bracket
box (Fig. 1 - not supplied in your Ergopower
package).
• The cable casings of the rear derailleur
(A - Fig. 2) have a diameter of 4.5 mm,
while the brake cable casings (B - Fig. 2)
have a diameter of 5 mm.
• Depending on your frame, it may be nec-
essary to cut the rear brake casing and
install a casing lead end (not supplied in
your Ergopower package).
Note.
The casings must be cut in such a way
that the end is "squared off" and without
crushing the casing (Fig. 3).
Drivetrain performance is affected if the
casing is too long or too short.
Note.
Front and rear derailleurs' casings have
been pre-lubricated with a special
grease, which has been inserted in the
half of the casing where there are no
"Campagnolo" logos and on which an
end-cap has been pre-mounted.
This is the end of the casing that must be
inserted into the appropriate slot in the
Ergopower body; if the casing needs to
be shortened, the other end (with the
double "Campagnolo" logo and without
the end-cap) must be cut.
