The charger will reliably detect if the terminal comes
off during the charging process and will switch off.
Serial interface/firmware update
The charger is equipped with a serial interface
(USB). The corresponding socket is located on
the right below the LEDs. If a software update is
required, the firmware can be updated easily via
this interface using a corresponding USB storage
device.

3.1 Preparations
• Check compliance with the required operating
conditions.
• If necessary, let the device gradually acclimatise
to room temperature.
• Check the operator-side supply networks for
compliance with the specifications.

Improper or careless handling of the device and

• The device may only be operated by persons
who have received instruction and who have

ratory work laid out in the operation manual are
satisfied/carried out.
• Ensure order and cleanliness in the workplace.

• The device will automatically start up in the basic
setting once the power cable has been plugged
in. After disconnecting the charger from the
power supply or switching it on via the button,
the following default parameters will be preset:
• Battery voltage: automatic detection
• Battery type: Uni (universal)
• Desulphation: Off

3.4 Starting up the device
Quick start guide
• Read the operation manual.
• Connect the charging clips to the battery.
• Connect the mains plug to the mains connection
(230V AC, 50-60Hz).
• The instructions in this manual must be observed
when handling the charger. Charging is carried
out automatically. The end of charging is sig-
nalled by the green 100% LED.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains
connection.
• Disconnect the charging clips from the battery.
→ Follow the safety instructions!
→ Observe the handling instructions of the battery
manufacturer!
→ Note the end-of-charge voltage of the battery in
question!
