can exit the dialog using the right arrow key at the
far right edge. Before returning, you will be asked
whether you want to save the selected setting, and

If no change has been made, the dialog will be
exited immediately. The dialog will also be exited if
no entry is made for a long time.
3.8.4 Support mode (external power
supply/PSU)
This operating mode is intended for vehicles without
a battery, or for when the battery is being changed.
The charger supplies a fixed output voltage up to
the max. output of the device.
Attention!
In this operating mode, there is no automatic check
for incorrect polarity at the connection terminals.
The operator bears full responsibility for ensuring
the correct polarity. The selection is made by tou-
ching the "Charge mode" button (approx. 3 sec.).
The device will switch to support mode, and this
is also made clear by a lighter background and a
flashing blue LED. The voltage set in charge mode
will be carried over. The battery clips will now still be
voltage-free, which is indicated by the flashing switch-
on symbol. The device can now be connected with
the correct polarity.
The voltage will now be switched on if the button
is pressed. The output voltage will rise to 13 volts,
and the blue support mode LED will light up conti-
nuously. The necessary work can now be carried
out on the vehicle. Once work is complete, the
voltage can be switched off again using the button
so that the clips can be disconnected in a voltage-
free state. Touching the "Support mode" field for 3
seconds will cause you to switch back to "Charge
mode".
