Removing the Battery
To remove the battery 2, press the unlocking buttons
1 and pull the battery out of the machine to the rear.
Do not exert any force.
Battery Charge-control Indication
The three green LEDs of the battery charge-control
indicator 4 indicate the charge condition of the bat-
tery 2. For safety reasons, it is only possible to check
the status of the charge condition when the machine
is at a standstill.
To indicate the charge condition, press and hold
button 3 of the switched off machine.

Changing the Tool
❏ Before any work on the machine itself
(e. g. maintenance, tool change, etc.) as
well as during transport and storage,
remove the battery from the power tool.
There is danger of injury when unintentionally
actuating the On/Off switch.
❏ Wear protective gloves when changing
application tools/accessories. Contact with
the application tool/accessoriy can lead to inju-
ries.
Mounting/Replacing the
Application Tool/Accessory
If required, remove an already mounted application
tool/accessory.
For removing the application tool/accessory, loosen
the screw 10 with the Allen key 11 and remove the
application tool/accessory.
Insert the supplied adapter by allowing the smooth
side of the adapter to engage on the cams of the tool
holder 8 (see figure on the graphics). Mount the
application tool/accessory on the adapter at any
position.
Fasten the application tool/accessory with bolt 10.
Tighten the bolt with Allen key 11 until the spring
washer of the bolt faces flush against the application
tool/accessory.
❏ Check the tight seating of the application
tool/accessory. Incorrect or not securely fas-
tened application tools/accessories can come
loose during operation and pose a hazard.

Mounting/Replacing a Sanding
Sheet on the Sanding Plate
The sanding plate 9 is fitted with Velcro backing for
quick and easy fastening of sanding sheets with Vel-
cro adhesion.
Before attaching the sanding sheet 12, free the Vel-
cro backing of the sanding plate 9 from any debris
by tapping against it in order to enable optimum
adhesion.
Position the sanding sheet 12 flush alongside one
edge of the sanding plate 9, then lay the sanding
sheet onto the sanding plate and press firmly.
To ensure optimum dust extraction, pay attention
that the punched holes in the sanding sheet match

with the holes in the sanding plate.

To remove the sanding sheet 12, grasp it at one of
the tips and pull it off from the sanding plate 9.

Sanding accessories, such as fleece pads/polishing

cloth pads, are attached to the sanding plate in the

Working with Hazardous Dusts
Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coat-
ings, some wood types, minerals and metal can be
harmful to one's health. Touching or breathing-in
the dusts can cause allergic reactions and/or lead to
respiratory infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are con-
sidered as carcinogenic, especially in connection
with wood-treatment additives (chromate, wood pre-
servative). Materials containing asbestos may only
be worked by specialists.
• Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
• It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respi-
rator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for
the materials to be worked.
Inserting the Battery
❏ Use only original Würth lithium ion batter-
ies with the voltage listed on the name-
plate of your power tool. Using other
batteries can lead to injuries and pose a fire haz-
ard.

Note: Use of batteries not suitable for the
machine can lead to malfunctions of or cause
damage to the power tool.
Insert the charged battery 2 into the handle until it
can be felt to engage and faces flush against the
handle.
