When you replace the batteries or install them for the first time, you
MUST set the remote control on the COOL or COOL/HEAT mode. This
is very easy:
When inserting the batteries, the icons
start flashing. If you press any pad when the icon
played, the remote control will be set in the COOL only mode. If you
press any pad when the icon
trol will be set in the COOL/HEAT mode.
If you set the remote control in the COOL mode, it will not be pos-
sible to activate the HEAT functions in units equipped with heating
pump. You will then need to remove and replace the batteries to re-
peat the procedure described above.
• Direct the remote control toward the receiver located at the
front of the indoor unit.
• Make sure that there are no objects blocking the path between
the remote control and the receiver on the unit.
• Never leave the remote control exposed to the sunlight.
• Keep the remote control at a distance of at least 1 m from televi-
sion sets or other electrical appliances.
