how to install the batteries
Remove the cover from the battery compartment, by sliding it in the
direction shown by the arrow.
Insert the new batteries, making sure that the (+) and (-) terminals
are properly placed.
Replace the cover by sliding it into place.
• Use 2 LRO AAA (1,5 V) batteries. Do not use rechargeable batter-
ies. Replace the old batteries with new ones of the same type
when the display is no longer legible.
• Old batteries should be disposed of properly.

i. When replacing batteries or installing them for the first time, you
will see a microswitch under the back cover of the remote control.

ºC The display shows Celsius degrees.
ºF The display shows Fahrenheit degrees.
Cool The remote control is set in the COOL mode.
Heat The remote control is set in the COOL/HEAT
mode.
ii. IMPORTANT: If you remove the batteries after setting these func-
tions, then all setting will be lost and you will need to repeat the
above procedure.
