6. Disconnect the compressed air supply from the ma-
chine. When doing so pay attention to possible move-
ment of the upper part of the column.
7. Remove the side cover. When doing so, pay attention
to the earth connection on the cover.

8. Lay bare the compressed air hose (D) wound around
the cylinder of the unseating unit. This hose is routed
from the pedal via the Racing mounting column to the
locking system.

9. Remove the circlips (E) from the pin (F) in the upper
part of the column. Pull out the pin.

i Taking the utmost care, use a block and tackle to raise
the upper part of the Racing mounting column.
! Attention: When raising the upper part of the Rac-
ing mounting column, take care not to damage the
compressed air hose (D) between the pedal and the
locking system (Fig. 23).
If the compressed air hose is not long enough to
raise the Racing mounting column to the extent nec-
essary to replace the Racing cylinder, disconnect the
compressed air hose from the pedal and re-connect
as the final step.
