3.1
Replacing stop damper of tilting
column
Proceed as follows to replace the stop damper or to adjust
the damping effect:
1. Disconnect the power and compressed air supply.
2. Remove the side cover. When doing so, pay attention
to the earth connection on the cover.

3. Remove the elastic outer ring (A).
4. Pull out the control pin (B).
5. Tilt the column to the rear by hand.

6. Unscrew the nuts (C) from the stop damper inside the
machine. Then remove the damping rings (D) and the
packing plate (E).
7. Remove the defective stop damper (F).

8. Insert the new stop damper. Fit the damping rings
(D), the packing plate (E) and the nuts (C) inside the
machine.
9. Use a screwdriver to align the eyelets of the cylinder
rod (G) and the stop damper (F).

10. Re-insert the control pin (B). When doing so, slide
the control pin through the eyelets of the cylinder rod
(G) and the stop damper (F).
11. Re-insert the elastic outer ring (A).
12. Connect the compressed air supply.
13. Close the side cover.
14. Connect the power supply.
