Preventive Maintenance Schedule
Preventive maintenance for the AtmosAir Seat Cushion consists of regular cleaning and
an overall system check-out to be performed at the intervals described below. Refer to
the Care and Cleaning section of this guide for laundry and cleaning procedures.
Daily Cleaning
The cover should be wiped down daily with a mild soap and water solution.
Weekly Cleaning
The cover and fleece inner liner should be laundered at least weekly, depending on soiling.
The hoses and SAT System should be cleaned weekly.
Inspection / System Check-Out
Check each of the following before placing the AtmosAir Seat Cushion with a new patient:

Check cushion surface for tears or cracking; do not use if tears or cracks are
present.

Ensure cushion cover is free of stains and is not overly faded.
Troubleshooting
It is recommended that all sections of this guide be reviewed before troubleshooting any
AtmosAir Seat Cushion.
Do not attempt troubleshooting outside this guide or where the remedy recommends to
contact a ArjoHuntleigh service representative. Any unauthorized service, modification,
alteration, or misuse may lead to serious injury and / or product damage and will void all
applicable warranties.
Symptom
Cushion too firm
upon arrival.
Cushion cover too wrinkled
upon removal from
shipping container.
Positioning pad does not
inflate or is not firm.

Possible Cause
Difference in altitude not
sufficient to open valves.
Internal components
have not acclimated to
environment (this does not
affect function).
Tubing not
connected properly.
Tubing kinked.
Tubing disconnected.
Solution
Apply weight to cushion
to open valves.
Let cushion acclimate for 24
hours. If problem continues,
contact ArjoHuntleigh for
assistance.
Check tubing inside cushion
for loose connectors.
Check tubing inside cushion
for kinks.
Check tubing inside cushion
for possible disconnect.
