Troubleshooting

Error
Foot switch reacts too sensitively
Light on electric motor not lit
Instrument light is too dark or too bright
After prolonged operation (especially at
speeds < 15,000 rpm) the power decreases

See section 6.4 "Air pressure for the lower switching threshold on the
foot switch", increase air pressure.
a) Switch on instrument light, see page 17 "Operation – Switching the
instrument light OFF/ON"
b) Halogen lamp inside the electric motor is defective, install new halogen
lamp, see operating instructions of the corresponding electric
motor.
Adjust light intensity, see section 6.2 "Instrument light – lamp voltage
(light intensity)".
Internal protective circuit reduces current consumption to protect the motor
from overheating.
• Remove foot from foot switch for approx. 1 minute, allow motor to cool
down.
Full power is then restored.
Alternatively:
• Select a handpiece with reduction gear.
