1. GENERAL
1.1 Applications
Pumps aimed at pumping clear liquids in building, agriculture and
industry areas ...
Catching from a well, a source, a river, a pond... It is forbidden to use
it with an Abyssinian well (tube, driven well).
Water supply, water tower • sprinkling • high pressure washing • boi-
ler supply (with mandatory by-pass kit) • lifting of condensates • air
conditioning • industrial networks and integration in all modular sys-
tems.
1.2 Technical characteristics
• Maximum operating pressure :
- Pump casing - PN 25
- Pump casing - PN 16
- Pump casing-rapid hose coupling for Victaulic bracket : 25 bars
- Maximum suction pressure
• Temperature range :
- Standard versions EPDM O'ring and mechanical seal* : - 15°C to + 120°C
- Standard versions (Viton O'ring and mechanical seal) : - 15°C to + 90°C
- Maximum suction head
- Ambient temperature (standard product)
- Ambient humidity
* (WRAS : according to British standard - KTW : according to German standard).
2. SAFETY
Read this instruction carefully before installing and starting up. Pay
special attention to the points concerning the safety of the equip-
ment as regards the intermediate or final user.

3. TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND STORAGE
When receiving the material, check that there has been no damage
during the transport. If any defect has been stated, take all necessa-
ry steps with the carrier within the allowed time.
If the delivered material is to be installed later on,
store it in a dry place and protect it from impacts

and any outside influences (humidity, frost etc...).
Handle the pump carefully so as not to alter the goemetry and the
alignment of the unit.
In no case the pump must be lifted

same axis in bottom part.
Shaft sealing by standardized mechanical seal.
Materials : see technical description.
Hydraulic connection
Oval flanges on the PN 16 pump casing : pump supplied with oval
cast iron counterflanges for screw-on tube, rings and bolts.
Round flanges : pump delivered with rings and bolts without counter-
flanges (accessories as option).

4.4 Accessories as option
• Suction kit • insulating valves • bladder or galvanised tank • tank for
antihammer blow effect • weld-on (Steel) or screw-on (Stainless Steel)
counterflange • non-return valves (with nose or spring ring when ope-
rating in mode 2) • strainer-foot valve • vibrationless sleeves • kit against
dry-running for town water supply (fig. 6 - item 21) or storage tank -
sensor kit for regulation pressure (sensor accuracy : ~1%; use between
30% and 100% of the reading range)...
5. INSTALLATION
Two standard types :
• Figure 1 : pump in suction
• Figure 2 : pump under pressure on storage tank (item 9) or town
water supply (item 10).
5.1 Installation
Install the pump in a place easy to reach, protected against extrema
conditions (rain and sun in excess, frost) and as close as possible from
the drawing point.
For heavy pumps provide a point of attachment (lifting hook) in the
pump axis (item 22) to facilitate removal.
Install the pump on a concrete block (at least 10 cm high) (item 13)
and fix with anchor bolts (installation plan see fig. 3).
Foresee an insulating material under the concrete block (cork or rein-
forced rubber) to avoid any noise and vibration transmission into the
installation.
Before final tightening of anchor bolts, ensure that the pump axis is
vertical : use shims if necessary.
Bear in mind that the altitude of the installation

suction possibilities of the pump.
