Transferring the position of the tomas
can only be guaranteed with a distortion-resistant impression tray and
a silicone or polyether impression material. Using alginate or plastic
impression trays can lead to inaccuracies. To fix the tomas
and bands securely in the impression, the transfer cap and the palatal
sheaths must be surrounded with a light bodied impression material.
Then, make the impression of the jaw. After the impression material
has hardened completely, take the impression tray out of the mouth.
It is important to observe the insertion angle of the tomas
The tomas
-transfer caps and the bands should be in the impression.

Check if the position is correct and adjust, if necessary. If the parts can
be repositioned accurately, the impression does not have to be repeated.
After disinfecting the impression, you can start making the model.
Before pouring the model material into the impression, put the tomas

during the impression process, it is important to fix the pins with wax.
If necessary, block out the bands with wax. Then, make the model.
After the model material has hardened, carefully remove the impression
from the working model. The bands should sit on the model. If this is
not the case, put the bands back in the correct position. Remove the
tomas
-transfer caps.
