5. Select "ALARM LO" (pre-alarm) and adjust by tapping on
"more" or "less". The pre-alarm can be adjusted between
0.10 and 10.00 mg/m³ in steps of 0.01, taking into account
that a value greater than 1.6 mg/m³ is not permitted due to
the set measuring range of 0-1.6 mg/m³. Confirm with
"accept".
6. Select "ALARM HI" (main alarm) and adjust by tapping on
"more" or "less". The main alarm can be adjusted between
0.20 and 10.00 mg/m³ in steps of 0.01, taking into account
that a value greater than 1.6 mg/m³ is not permitted due to
the set measuring range of 0-1.6 mg/m³. Confirm with
"accept".

Reset to the factory settings
The PID 5000 can be reset to the factory settings as described
below.
1. Select the instrument menu (see chapter 4.4 on page 12).
2. Use the magnetic pen to tap on "menu" until "RESET"
appears on the display.
3. Select "run". The PID 5000 is reset to the factory settings.

Measuring time
The PID 5000 determines the concentration by calculating the
difference between the two gas inlets (measurement and
reference). To do so, the PID 5000 automatically switches
between both inlets. The switching interval amounts to
3 minutes. The PID 5000 has a measurement delay / response
time of at least 6 minutes because of the duration of the
measurement.

is shown in the display.
Restart the PID 5000 to check whether the error still exists
after the restart.
1. Use the magnetic pen to select "restart" on the screen.
2. The PID 5000 is restarted.
NOTICE
No measurement occurs during the start-up phase and the
0 to 1.6 mg/m³
filling process is not monitored. If the error still exists, contact
Dräger Service or authorised Dräger specialist personnel.
