Control and display elements

Joystick functions

 To generate positive pressure, set joystick 1 to "+".
 To quickly aerate or deaerate the system, set joystick 1
in the opposite direction.
 To inflate the test head, set joystick 2 to "+".
 To deflate the test head, set joystick 2 to "–".
 To activate the measuring point "Test head", briefly set
joystick 2 to "+".
 To activate the measuring point "Round thread con-
nection", briefly set joystick 2 to "–".
 To generate negative pressure, set joystick 3 to "–".
 To slowly aerate or deaerate the system, set joystick 3
in the opposite direction.

Meaning of the LEDs

The LEDs only work with the Dräger Testor 3100.

The system is ready. Communica-
tion is established with the PC.
OFF
No communication is established
with the PC
Red
ON
Fault in the system (check
whether the correct COM inter-
face has been selected in the
software).

Setting the test time on the timer

 Set the timer to zero position:
simultaneously press the
"MIN" and "SEC" keys.
The display shows "00`00".
 Set the test time using the
"SEC" or "MIN" key, e.g.,
30 seconds.
The display shows "00`30".
 Press the "START/STOP" key. An acoustic signal
sounds for approx. 30 seconds at the end of the set
time. The display shows 00`00.
 Stopping the acoustic signal: press the "START/
STOP" key.
The display shows 00`30.
Pressing the "START/STOP" key again would result in the
emission of an acoustic signal after 30 seconds have
elapsed.
If you require a different time, set the timer to zero posi-
tion and set another test time.
NOTICE

Detaching and attaching the test head

Detaching the test head:
 Press the "larynx".
The test head disengages and
can be placed next to the test
device.
Take care not to kink or over-
stretch the hoses.
Attaching the test head:
 Position the test head onto the
collar and snap into place.
Take care not to kink or clamp
the hoses.

Preparing the test device

General remarks

Regarding the test device
Only use breathing air in accordance with EN 12 021
from a stationary compressed air network with a medium
pressure hose or from a compressed air breathing appa-
ratus.
You must ensure that the test device is protected against
the ingress of water or humidity. No humidity must enter
the test device as a result of leaks or splash water.
The housing may only be opened by Dräger.
Regarding the Dräger device data
The test data for the devices belonging to Dräger deliv-
ered with the Adaptor II software corresponds to the cur-
rent status at the time the CD was created.
If the test specifications for the test samples change, the
data has to be updated. All test data is protocolled
together with the test result.
Regarding the external device data
The test data for the devices belonging to external manu-
facturers delivered with the Adaptor II software is
intended as an example only. Contact the respective
manufacturer regarding the test data prior to the first test.
The current test data for the devices belonging to external
manufacturers must be obtained from the respective
manufacturer prior to the first test. The user must update
the data on a regular basis.
The test data is protected by an access code (refer to
supplementary sheet). It can be changed if necessary.
All test data is protocolled together with the test result.
Dräger assumes no liability for the completeness and cor-
rectness of the test specifications of other manufacturers.
Dräger neither assumes liability for the maintenance of
the test data nor for the completeness and correctness of
the data entered by the user.
