CC. Seat Pan
1. Removal
a. Using a 4mm Allen wrench and a 10mm
wrench or socket, remove seat pan bracket
screws (Fig. 63:A), washers (Fig. 63:B) and
nuts (Fig. 63:C) on all four seat pan brackets
(Fig. 63:D).
b. Lift entire seat pan from chair.
2. Installation
a. Install seat pan brackets (Fig. 63:D) onto
front seat pan (Fig. 63:F) using seat pan
screws (Fig. 63:E). Use frontmost hole in
seat pan. Repeat for opposite side of chair.
b. Install seat pan brackets onto rear seat pan
(Fig. 63:G) using seat pan screw (Fig. 63:E).
Different seat pan holes (Fig. 63:H) may be
used in the rear seat pan to avoid interfer-
ence with the seat frame yoke (Section T.
Seat Frame Setup - Fig. 43:A).
c. Place seat pans onto seat frame and install
carriage bolts (Fig. 63:I) with nuts finger
tight.
d. Once desired position of seat pan is
obtained, tighten carriage bolt nuts.
e. Install seat pan bracket screws (Fig. 63:A),
washers (Fig. 63:B) and nuts (Fig. 63:C) on all four seat pan brackets.
3. Length Adjustment
a. When adjusting frame depth of wheelchair, loosen carriage bolt nuts (Fig. 63:I). Do not
remove.
b. Slide seat pan forward or rearward corresponding to frame depth and retighten carriage bolt
nuts.
c. If seat pan length cannot be adjusted to accommodate new seat frame depth, new front
and/or rear seat pans will be required. Please contact customer service.
