8.1 SERVICING THE COMPONENTS
In theory, you can carry out all service works yourself. If there is any doubt about your own abilities or if you lack special tools, the work must be carried out by PROPAIN or by a qualified bicycle mechanic.
COMPONENT TASK
Complete bike Check tightening torques of all screws. Torque values, see „8.3 Torques".
Frame Visual inspection of the frame for damage such as cracks and deformations, discolouration and chafing caused by
the cable housing or brake hoses.
Suspension fork and Visual inspection for damage such as cracks and deformations as well as discoloration.

Headset Disassemble, clean, grease and reassemble all parts of the headset.
Replace poorly running or corroded bearings.
Seat post Disassemble, clean the seat post and seat tube of the frame and assemble it without using lubricants. Check the
tightening torque. Torque of the seat post clamp and saddle clamp, see „8.3 Torques".

Check the tightening torque. Torque values, see „8.3 Torques".
Check the wear of the brake pads.
→ The brake pad on the metal backing plate must be at
least 0.5 mm thick.
Check the brake rotors for wear.
→ Minimum thickness of the brake rotors:
Sram/Avid: 1.55 mm, Magura: 1.8 mm
Bleeding the brakes / changing the brake fluid
Servicing the hub: Under normal operating conditions In case of extreme
operating conditions (regular rides in dust, rain, snow, or in case of frequent
transport while raining) Maintenance activities, see manufacturer' s instructions.
Replace tubeless rim tape.
Check the tubeless rim tape for damages.
The tubeless rim tape needs to be changed when
• the rim tape comes off the rim.
• the imprint comes off and the carrier material becomes visible.
• strong bulges at the spoke holes are visible inwards and the tape wrinkles
strongly at the spoke holes.
Check the spoke tension, dish and wear of the wheel.
