TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
PROBLEM
Intermittent noise at start.
Contactors do not seem
to activate.
Current main motor
over of nominal work.
Electric motor
rotation decrease.
Compressor switches off
and doesn't re-start even
with low network pressure.
Compressor lost output
suddenly. Pressure in the air
network is very low.
Note:
Before taking any action
on the following discre-
pancy,read the "remarks"
at the end of this chapter
and on the Electronic
Interface display.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Voltage drop/wire gauge
inadequate.
Inverted rotation.
Compressing unit locked.
Voltage drop/wire gauge inadequate.
Inlet control valve open.
Overload relay activated.
High temperature.
(Compressor may be supplied with
temperature sensor that will inform
the Electronic Interface of problem -
SRP 3040E and thermostat -
SRP 3040).
Thermostatic valve malfunction.
Control fuse activated.
No phase in the control.
Loose or worn out belt.
Air filter clogged.
System pressure gauge hose is
disconnected or leaking
(Look for air leakage noise).
Solenoid valve coil burnt or with
orifice
clogged
.
Pressure switch is not adjusted SRP 3040.
Hose feeding solenoid valve is torn
or disconnected.
Air leakage in some of the
compressor's ducts.
WHAT TO DO
Check tension lag between phases.
for loose wires.
Check
Check rotation direction. Reverse if necessary.
Call technical assistance.
Check installation.
Call technical assistance.
Check current and overload relay.
Check oil level and fill as needed
(see Table 3, page 53).
Check fan (propeller) for breakage.
Replace if necessary.
Check if oil filter is for blockage
filter change is with 300 working hours.
Check if there is air flow in cooler core
(Clean it if clogged).
Look for oil leakage (repair leakage).
Call technical assistance.
Check the cause.
Look for the cause according to diagram.
Tighten or replace belt.
Check restriction indicator and air filter
condition, replace if necessary.
Connect hose or replace it.
Call technical assistance.
Reconect or repair hose.
Repair leakage.
