Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING
•
Wear rubber gloves when cleaning.
•
Do not clean the unit using steel wool.
•
Do not use caustic cleaning agents.
•
Make sure that no cleaning agent remains behind in the unit.
•
Do not touch the quartz lamps with unprotected hands.
•
Slide the grease tray completely into the unit after putting it back and close the drain cock
to avoid damage to the window.

Do not clean the unit using a water hose.
•
Remove the plug from the wall socket during maintenance and cleaning.
•

To ensure hygiene and an optimum condition of the unit it is important to adhere to a fixed
cleaning pattern from the very beginning.
•
The unit can best be cleaned shortly after use while it is still tepid.
•
The unit will be less contaminated when the bottom plates are covered with aluminium foil
before use.
•
Fri-Jado Clean is a special cleaning agent for cleaning the unit.

Action
•
Remove the parts from the unit.
•
Lay the parts in a large basin with hot water and a cleaning
agent.
•
Let the parts soak for one night.
•
Clean the parts.
•
Dry the parts.
•
Slide the grease tray partly open.
•
Empty the grease tray using the drain cock that has been ap-
plied on the front side of the grease tray.
•
Clean the grease tray.
•
Dry the grease tray.
•
Put the grease tray back into the unit.
•
Close the drain cock.
•
Clean the interior with hot soapsuds or Fri-Jado Clean.
•
Dry the interior well.
•
Clean the exterior with a small amount of water to which
a mild cleaning agent has been added and a soft brush or
sponge.
•
Dry the exterior with a cloth.
•
Clean the control panel with hot soapsuds or Fri-Jado Clean.
•
Open the external door.
•
Open the internal door.
•
Clean the windows with hot soapsuds or Fri-Jado Clean.
