Worn or damaged parts increase the
risk of injury.
- Prior to use, check the mains
cable and potential extension
cords for signs of damage or
ageing. Do not use the lawn
mower if the cable is damaged
or worn. If the mains cable is
damaged or worn during use,
switch off the lawnmower and
do not touch the cable before
having unplugged the power
plug. A damaged mains or extension
cord may lead to electric shock, fire
and/or severe injuries.
- Regularly check the cuttings
collector for wear. A worn or
damaged cuttings collector increases
the risk of injuries.
- Do not modify the positions of
protective covers. Protective
covers must be ready for use
and they must have been
attached correctly. A loose,
damaged or incorrectly operating
protective cover may lead to injuries.
- Keep cooling air inlet openings
unobstructed. Blocked air inlets
and deposits may cause overheating
or a risk of fire.
- Always wear safety shoes
with anti-slip soles when oper
ating the lawnmower. Do not
work barefoot or in sandals.
This reduces the risk of injuries to feet
when coming in contact with rotating
blades.
- Always wear long trousers
when operating the lawn
mower. Exposed skin increases the
risk of injuries caused by ejected
parts.
- Do not operate the lawn
mower on a wet lawn. Walk,
don't run. This reduces the risk of
slipping and falling which may cause
injuries.
- Do not operate the lawn
mower on excessively steep
inclines. This reduces the risk of
losing control, slipping and falling
which may cause injuries.
- Make sure you are standing
securely when working on
inclines; always work across
the incline and do not work up
or down the incline and take
extra care when changing the
working direction. This reduces
the risk of losing control, slipping and
falling which may cause injuries.
- Take particular care when
moving backwards with the
lawnmower or when pulling
the lawnmower towards your
self. Always keep an eye on the
surroundings. This reduces the risk of
tripping while operating the lawn
mower.
- Keep the mains cable from
blades. A damaged mains cable
