If the ferromagnetic part only partially covers the base of the cookware, only the
ferromagnetic area will be heated, the rest of the base may not reach a sufficient
temperature for cooking.
-
If the ferromagnetic part is not homogeneous, but has other materials such as aluminium,
this may affect the heating and detection of the cookware.
-
If the base of the cookware is similar to Fig. 12, it may not be detected.
-
Do not use cookware with serrated edges or with a curved base. Fig. 13
-
Make sure the base of the cookware is smooth, flat against the glass, and of same size as
the cooking zone. Use cookware whose diameter is the same as the cooking area selected.
The use of a slightly wider cookware will increase the efficiency of the energy used. If you
use a smaller cookware, efficiency will be affected. The hob may not detect a cookware
smaller than 140 mm. Always place the cookware at the centre of the cooking zone. Fig. 14
-
Always lift the cookware off the induction hob, do not slide it, as it could scratch the glass.
