6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Faults
The engine does not
start.
The engine jerks.
No suction.
7. STORAGE
WARNING :
• To avoid fire risks, let the engine cool at least 30 min
before moving the pump or storing it.
• Before transporting the pump, switch the petrol
tank to OFF and place the motor-driven pump body
on a flat surface in order to avoid spilling petrol that
could catch fire.
If you have planned not to use the motor-driven
pump for a while (at least 15 days), consider
• Removing the spark plug, leave 3 or 4 cc of oil in
the spark plug compartment above the cylinder
and making two attempts to start the engine
without pushing it, so that the engine turns over a
few times, making it easier for the oil to circulate
through the cylinder and the pistons. This operation
prevents risks of rusting on cylinders, pistons and
valves.
• Empty the petrol tank.
1- Put the tap to OFF B.17 (FIG.B).
2- Unscrew the bleed screw on the carburettor tank
(container) B.16 (FIG.B).
3- The petrol will flow from inside the carburettor.
Collect it in a suitable container.
• Change the engine oil.
• Clean the air filter.
• Check that the screws are properly tightened and
retighten them as necessary.
• Clean the outer parts of the motor-driven pump to
remove dust and impurities. If necessary, use an
anti-rust spray.
• Cover the motor-driven pump with a nylon sheet
and store horizontally in a dry, well-ventilated place.
