VERTICAL ELECTRIC PUMP VERTI SERIES
Installation precautions for inlet piping
1. During installation of the electric pump, do not use too soft rubber hoses for the inlet
pipe, preventing it from being completely sucked in.
2. The foot valve should be positioned vertically and installed 30 cm from the bottom of
the water to avoid suction of sand and stones (fig. 2).
3. The joints of the inlet pipes should be sealed with as few bends as possible.
4. The diameter of the inlet pipe should be at least in accordance with the diameter of the
water inlet, to avoid excessive leakage which would influence the performance of the
outlet.
5. Pay attention to the water level drop during use, the foot valve must not be above the
water surface (fig.2).
6. In case the inlet pipe is longer than 10 m or its head exceeds 4 m the diameter of the
pipe must exceed the diameter of the water inlet of the pump.
7. Make sure that the pumping is not affected by the pipe pressures during the installation
of the pipes.
8. The strainer must be installed in the inlet piping to prevent solid particles from entering
the electric pump.
4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Unless the power is off, do not wire the junction box.the electric pump must be reliably
grounded to prevent current leakage with the leakage protection it is equipped with.
1. Electrical connection and protection must be carried out in accordance with the
stipulations. The specification of the operating voltage can be found on the nameplate;
make sure that the motor is in accordance with the power supply..
2. In case the working area of the electric pump is too far away from the power supply, the
power transmission lines should be of heavier gauge, so the electric pump does not work
normally because the voltage drop is too sudden.
3. A rubber extension cable shall be applied for the electric pump in case of outdoor use.
4. Check the rotation of the motor (three-phase motor).
5. Check if the operation of the electric pump is normal, the rotation is correct, which could
be observed from the fan blade terminal, for example.
6. Clockwise rotation means correct direction. In case the rotation is incorrect, cut off the
power supply and exchange the two power cables.
