1. Disengaging the AFT — Disengag-
ing the AFT (Automatic Fine Tun-
ing) after all channels have been
preset:
Your TV set is equipped with an AFT (Auto-
matic Fine Tuning) feature which automati-
cally performs fine tuning under normal
reception. The feature is, however, ineffec-
tive with weak signals. If the signal on a par-
ticular channel is so weak that the AFT does
not work properly, disengage the AFT and
manually tune-in the station for the best
. result:
1. Select the channel for which you want to
turn the AFT off.
2. While pressing and holding the protect
button, press the fine tuning (A or Vv)
button to disengage the AFT for that
channel. Now use a fine tuning buiton (A
or bh until the best picture quality is ob-
tained.
Note:
Te permanently store the AFT off mode for a
preset channel, first disengage the AFT, then
press the protect button and the memory but-
ton simultaneously. (At this point, the channel
number on the screen changes from green
to yellow, to indicate that the AFT
is dis-
engaged.)
2. Engaging the AFT — Reengaging
the AFT:
Once you select another channel after disen-
gaging the AFT for a particular channel, the
AFT for that channel is activated again.
Note:
To reengage the AFT for the preset channel
on which you stored AFT off mode.
1. Select the channel for which you want to
set the AFT.
2. Repeat
the channel
preset
procedure
again.
(The channel
number
on the
screen will change from yellow back to
