by qualified personnel in an industrial environment.
Intended Use
This product is designed for installing and removing threaded
fasteners in wood, metal or plastic. The product is also de-
signed to handle torque and angular measurement of rotating
parts in industrial environments.
No other use permitted.
Product Specific Instructions
Storage and Transport
Storage and transport
• The components should be stored at a dry place, and
should be protected from dust and aggressive media.
High variation of temperature should be avoided.
• Each connection should be removed before transport to
avoid breaking the connecting cables.
Use sufficient insulation of the shipping packet to protect
components against damage.
Installation
General Installation Safety
• Refer installation to qualified personnel only.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, steel
toe-capped shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

• Make sure that the tool is in good working order and that
the controller is correctly programmed before use to
avoid unexpected behavior from the tool which may re-
sult in operator injury.
• The tool with its drive/controller box is designed to oper-
ate at any setting within its torque range at a primary volt-
age of nominal 400V/50Hz alternatively 480V/60Hz, 3
phase. Refer to the manual for your controller or drive
unit.
• Check function of the earth fault protector and ground
loop continuity on regular basis according to instructions
in the drive/controller Product instructions.
Operation
General Operation Safety
• Due to entanglement risk, do not wear gloves.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, steel
toe-capped shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
• Keep away from rotating drive. Choking, scalping and /
or lacerations can occur if loose clothing, gloves, jew-
ellery, neck ware and hair are not kept away from tool
and accessories.
• This product shall only be operated indoors in dry rooms.
Some parts in the system can be approved for other envi-
ronments.
• This product must not be used in explosive atmospheres.
• Always keep the controller/drive unit locked.
Service and Maintenance
General Service and Maintenance safety
Always keep the controller switched off during service in or-
der to avoid unexpected start-up.
The product must only be installed, operated and serviced by
qualified personnel in an industrial environment.
To avoid damage or destruction of tool parts, service the tool
according to the recommended maintenance schedules and
follow the correct instructions.
Regular Cable Inspections
Regularly inspect the power cable and the tool cable. If the
cables show any sign of damage, replace them.
Preventing ESD Problems
The components inside the product and controller are sensi-
tive to electrostatic discharge. To avoid future malfunction,
make sure that service and maintenance is carried out in an
ESD approved work environment. The figure below shows an
example of an appropriate service work station.
