Instrument identifier
Each QuikRead go Instrument has its own serial
number, which can be found on the label on the
bottom of the instrument.
Memory
QuikRead go Instrument has an internal memory
for result history. See the section "Results".
Power supply
The instrument is powered by a power supply
supplied with the instrument. Additionally, the
instrument can use a battery pack as a power
source. An internal switch within the cable con-
nector switches the instrument automatically from
battery-powered to mains current use. For instruc-
tions on installing a battery pack, see the section
"Inserting a battery pack."
Serial connection
The RJ45 socket can be used for a serial-type
connection with a special cable. Specifications for
wiring of the cable can be found on the website
quikread.com.
LAN connection
The RJ45 interface supports a 10BASE[1]
T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-TX Ethernet connec-
tion. Cat 5 / Cat 5e UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
cable should be used.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is not supported.
WLAN connection
An external WLAN USB storage is needed. Use
only an adapter supplied by Aidian.

USB connection
The instrument has three A-type USB connectors.
These connectors can be used for the printer, bar-
code reader and memory stick. The instrument
can be connected as a virtual com-port to a PC or
computer via a B-type USB connector.
