Use of the touchscreen
QuikRead go Instrument has a color touchscreen.
The user operates it by touching the virtual buttons
with the fingers. The screen can be used either
with bare fingers or with gloves. The touchscreen
does not require much pressure, and pressing too
hard or operating it with sharp items could damage
the screen.
There is always multimodal feedback to touching
a button: the button press is indicated both with a
change in appearance and via an audible signal.
A command is registered when the finger is re-
leased from the button touched. If the release oc-
curs outside the initial button area, no command
is issued.
