The lid of the outlet can be opened by loosening 2 nuts
on the rod ends and lifting the lid. Be careful when han-
dling the lid as it is heavy.
The lid hinges can be moved to opposite side if neces-
sary.

Inspection windows
On the material pipe above the piston, there are 4
inspection windows. These can be used to check
whether material should build up in the pipe. If this is
the case, the suction is possibly too strong in relation to
the compression, and the amount of material fed to the
Compact Unit should be reduced.
Service and maintenance:
All service, maintenance and repair must be carried out
by qualified or instructed persons.
Always disconnect the power and compressed air to
the compactor before repair and maintenance and
lock the main switch so that the trim handler cannot be
started by mistake.
Check wiring connections for securement and insula-
tion annually.
When the pre- and main filters are about to be clogged,
2 filter guards provide a signal to the operator panel
(see section "Operation"). The filters should then be
replaced or possibly cleaned with compressed air. The
trim handler is equipped with a HEPA filter as the main
filter when delivered from Kongskilde, but can be fitted
with another type of similar dimensions in case of re-
placement.
The filters are accessed by opening the doors opposite
the material outlet, lifting the handle, opening the filter
door and pulling the filters out horizontally.
The filters can be purchased from Kongskilde under the
following part numbers:
Part no.
Type
100 203 147 Upper HEPA filter (1 pcs.)
100 203 148 Lower pre-filter (1 pcs.)
The sealing on the compression upper operating ad-
justment flap on the material outlet should be checked
once a year, and replaced if worn.
The bearings of the piston mechanism
are lubricated with grease gun in the
grease nipples once a year, with good
quality ball bearing grease, such as
SKF LGMT 2, at the arrows on the
sketch. Be careful not to overfill the
bearings with grease.
At the same time, it must be checked
whether the felt sheets in the material
retainer are soaked with oil - if not, they
must be topped up with oil.
