12 V lithium batteries, as per the "Permitted lithium batteries" section of the "Technical
data" chapter
Charging or conservation charging with the battery either fitted or removed
WARNING! Risk of serious injury and damage from incorrect charging settings or
improper handling of the lithium battery. Note the following points without excep-
tion:
- Select the Li-Ion Charge setting on the charger
- Only charge 12 V lithium batteries, as per the "Permitted lithium batteries"
section of the "Technical data" chapter
- Never expose the lithium battery to naked flames. Excessive heat can cause
the battery to ignite or burst.
- If the lithium battery becomes damaged due to improper handling, poisonous
substances can escape which are harmful to health
- Do not drop the lithium battery into water. This may lead to a short circuit.
This in turn can cause the battery to become hot, ignite or burst.
- Do not charge batteries with visible damage
WARNING! Risk of serious injury and damage from incorrect charging settings or
a defective battery. Before beginning the charging process, ensure that the set-
tings on the charger for the battery to be charged are correct and that the battery
is functioning properly.
