The FAQ's correspond to the status at printing.
An up-to-date overview of the FAQ's can be found on our website at
Enter the following item number: 1735 0000.
Errors
No material flow.
Extruder blocked.
Printer "crashes" when
plugging in the jack plug
(fan) of the cover.
Error message:
Fatal error!
Short circuit on the 12 V
line!
Spool covers the con-
nection for the filament
sensor (RJ45 socket).
Date / time is incorrectly
set.
The FMS system reports
a filament jam wrongly.
Object ist printed croo-
ked or incomplete.
File cannot be loaded
from the USB flash drive.
Poor adhesion between
the individual layers,
gaps in the layers.
Print object does not
adhere to the print bed.
Model printed at an in-
correct angle.
Cause
• Extruder blocked.
• Temperature too low when loading
or unloading the filament.
• Not all the filament was removed
from the hotend when replacing/
removing
• Glitch interrupts software
• The cover fan connector is not prop-
erly inserted
• Spool too large
• Backup battery of the clock is flat.
• The filament guiding tube (2, Fig. 1)
is rough on the inside and hinders
the material transport
• The filament guiding tube has not
been completely pushed into the
aperture at the FMS or the extruder.
• The filament guiding tube (2, Fig. 1)
is rough on the inside and hinders
the material transport
• Umlauts / special characters in the
file name.
• Not enough filament is fed.
• The gap between the nozzle and
the print bed is too large
• Kapton film of the print bed is dirty.
• Model misaligned in CAD software.
The SIMPLEX sliceware is not the
cause
SIMPLEX sliceware cannot influ-
ence the orientation of the model
Corrective action
• Unblock the extruder, see Chap. 10.3.
• Choose the right temperature for the filament.
• When loading or unloading the filament, wait for the ex-
truder to fully reach the temperature
• When removing the filament, proceed as follows:
- To facilitate filament extraction, press the extrude func-
tion for 5 seconds followed immediately by the reverse
function
- Use your fingers to slightly withdraw the end of the
filament that is sticking out of the extruder. Extrusion is
necessary, all the previously melted filament must be
melted in the hotend
• Only insert when the unit is switched off.
• Insert the connector completely
• Only insert when the unit is switched off.
• Use a smaller spool. Use Renfert filament.
• Replace the backup battery (see Chap. 11.7).
• The filament guiding tube is a wearing part. Replace the
filament guiding tube.
• Check the correct assembly of the filament guiding tube
at the FMS and the extruder, see Chap. 4.2.3.
• The filament guiding tube is a wearing part. Replace the
filament guiding tube.
• Change the file name (no umlauts / special characters).
• Clean the cogwheel of the extruder.
• Unblock the extruder (see Chap. 11.3).
• Calibrate the print bed (bed leveling).
• Thoroughly clean the Kapton film with isopropyl alcohol.
• Review the situation in the CAD software If necessary,
the orientation must be corrected in the CAD software
before the STL file is sliced a gain with the SIMPLEX
sliceware
