Replacing the backup battery
The backup battery may only be replaced by an electrical specialist or an equivalently qualified
person.

⇒ Remove filament from the extruder, roll it up on the filament spool and put it aside.
Switch off the unit!
Disconnect the power plug!
⇒ Disconnect the connection cable from the FMS system.
⇒ Disconnect the connection cable from the fan�
⇒ Unscrew the filament spool holder and FMS system.
Pay attention to the protective conductor cable and the cable to the fan and FMS system connec-
tor when removing the rear panel!
Do NOT disconnect the cable.
⇒ Loosen the screws on the rear panel and remove it�
⇒ Remove the backup battery from the holder and insert a new
backup battery�
⇒ Pay attention to correct polarity�
⇒ Screw the rear panel on again�
⇒ Assemble the filament spool holder and the FMS system.
⇒ Connect the connection cable of the FMS system.
⇒ Connect the connection cable of the fan�
⇒ Connect the power plug�
⇒ Switch on the unit
⇒ Set the date/time (see Chap. 6.1).

Tighten X- and Y-axis traction belt
⇒ Remove filament from the extruder, roll it
up on the filament spool and put it aside.
Switch off the unit!
Disconnect the power plug!
⇒ Remove the cover�
⇒ Unscrew the filament spool holder and
FMS system.
⇒ Remove all remainig screews of the upper
panel�
⇒ Carefully lift the upper panel at the front
and disconnect the interior lighting�
⇒ Put the upper panel aside�
⇒ Loosen the screws of the right or left belt
drive slightly and move drive to the back,
until the belt is tense�
⇒ Tighten the screws again�
⇒ Put upper panel back in place an connect
the interior lighting
⇒ screw on the upper panel�
