recognize and avoid all dangers. (Definition IEC 364).
6.2 Installation
Respect the connection diagram on "Annex A" Pic.2
or 3.
Pumps should not be placed very near the walls. To
avoid this, fall the pump from a cord through the handle
on the top.
The electropumps must never be carried or lifted by
their power cable, by float or by delivery pipe. Use only a
rope or chains attached to the handle. Lift the pump using
equipment suitable to the pump weight and dimension.
Make sure that well flow is higher than required, to
prevent the pump from running dry or from starting and
stopping more often than normal.
The submersible pumps must not work without
water. If there is any chance that the level of water can
decrease till a minimum point where the pump can works
dry, without a water, you will need to install a minimum-
level sensor as a safety measure like in "Annex A" Pic.3.
The pump must never run dry.
Respect maximum depth of immersion as specified in
the pump's data plate.
After installing the electric pump in a well, be sure to
close off the opening properly and complete safety.
The end-user must protect operation by installing an
alarm or an additional pump in order to avoid any demage
that may be caused by flooding of the ambiance due to
any disturbances that may occur to the electric pump that
is installed.
It is advisable to use pipes with an internal diameter
at least equal to that of the delivery pipe, so as to avoid a
fall in the performance of the pump and the possibility of
clogging.
Install a check valve on the outlet of the pump to
prevent the line from emptying every time the pump
stops.
The hydraulic connection of the pump can be
carried out with iron or rigid plastic parts. If a plastic hose
is chosen instead of a metallic line, make sure that it can
sustain the pressure provided by the pump. Prevent the
hose from becoming twisted because, in addition to
preventing the desired flow, proper pump operation will
be hindered.
When using in a well, it is recommended to secure
the power cable to the delivery pipe with hose clamps or
insulating tape every 50cm/1mt
The pump can be supplied in automatic or manual
version, with or without float. Nevertheless, if the distance
between the float attachment and the float needs to be
lengthened or shortened, be sure that the switch stops the
pump when the water goes down to the minimum level.
Seal any piping connections: air infiltration in the
suction pipe negatively affects pump operation.

STARTUP
7.1 Startup
If there is a line valve, open it completely.
In the pumps without plug, after doing electrical
connection, turn the differential magnetothermal switch
upstream from the pump in position on and wait until the
liquid comes out of the delivery pipe. For pumps with plug,
insert it in the mains socket.
Wait few second for priming.
If malfunctions are found, disconnect the pump from
the
power
supply,
turning
magnetothermal switch and consult the chapter 12
"Troubleshooting".
If the system features a nonreturn valve on the
delivery, the water level, even with the pump stopped,
must never be allowed to drop below the suction's hole.
In the manual version of the pump, the same may be
started and stopped manually by means of the differential
magnetothermal switch upstream from the system.
In the automatic version of the pump, the same
started and stopped automatically when the float detect
the maximum and the minimum level of the water. By
lengthening or shortening the stretch of cable between
the float-switch and the fixed point (cable block) it is
possible to regulate the level at which the pump switches
off. Ensure in phase of installation that the float can move
freely and that the stop level does not uncover the suction
filter.
Do not use the pump for more than 10 minutes if the
water levels is near the minimum operating level to avoid
overtheating the motor.
7.2 Stopping
Gradually interrupt water circulation in the delivery
section to avoid overpressure in the piping and pump
caused by water hammering.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
8.1 SKILLED PERSONNEL: The Electropump can only be
disassembled by competent skilled personnel, in
possession of the qualifications required by the
legislation in force. In any case, all repair and
maintenance jobs must be carried out only after having
disconnected the pump from yhe power mains.
8.2 Maintenance
In normal operation the pump does not require any
type of maintenance, thanks to the mechanical seal
lubrificated in an oil bath and to the greased-for.life
bearings.
During dismantling it is necessary to pay great
attention to sharp parts which may cause injures.
When the pump remains inactive for a long time at
temperatures lower than 0°C, it is necessary to ensure that
there is no water residue which might freeze, causing
cracking of the pump component. This operation is also
raccomended in case of prolonged inactivity of the pump
at normal temperature.
If the pump has been used with substances that tend
to deposit, rinse it after use with a powerful jet of water so
as to avoid the formation of deposits or scale which would,
tend to reduce the pump characteristics.
8.3 Cleaning
Periodically clean the inside of all the filters present in
suction and delivery system. Removing any particles that
may have sucked in.

REPAIRS AND SPARE PARTS
9.1 Skilled Personnel
If the pump should malfunction, contact only
authorized and specialized repair shops for any repair
work. The manufacturer's permission must be obtained
prior to opening or modifying the pump. Please note that
we cannot assume any responsibility for demages to our
electric pump if it has been opened and reassembled
without our persmission or the permission of an
