Rotate gear head
The gear head can be turned towards the stator
housing in 90° steps. This means that the on/off
switch can be moved to a more favourable handling
position for special applications.
Remove the four screws.
Carefully rotate the gear head to the desired
position. Make sure that it does not lift more than
1 mm from the motor housing.
Screw the screws back in and tighten them.
Abrasive belts
Only use abrasive belts that have a maximum
permissible speed equal to or higher than the belt
speed when the machine is idling!
Only mount clean abrasive belts.
Working instructions
To achieve an optimum grinding result, move the
abrasive belt evenly back and forth with light
pressure
The constant electronics keeps the belt speed
3
almost constant at idling and load and guarantees
a uniform working performance.
Excessive pressure reduces the perfor-
mance of the machine and the service
life of the abrasive belt.
The machine is equipped with electronics and
integrated overload protection. If the machine is
overloaded, the belt blocks briefly.
Relieve machine immediately and let it run for a
short time without load.
Preselect the appropriate band speed.
If the contact pressure is too low, the belt
can slip on the drive roller!
Maintenance and cleaning
Danger posed by electric current.
Carry out maintenance and cleaning
¾
work on the device only when the
mains plug has been removed.

WARNING!
Dusts from materials can be harmful to
health.
Use a dust mask or respirator.

Preventive maintenance
Always keep the device and ventilation slots
clean.
After an operating time of approx. 150 hours the
carbon brushes must be checked (and replaced if
necessary).
Clean the motor housing and replace the lubricant
in the gear housing.
To maintain the protective insulation, the
machine must be subjected to a safety
inspection. This work must be carried out
exclusively by aWürth service technician.
Under extreme conditions, conductive dust can
become deposited in the machine housing when
metal is cut. The protective insulation of the machine
may be impaired. In such cases it is recommended to
use a stationary extraction system, frequent blowing
out of the ventilation slots and connecting a residual
current circuit breaker (RCD) upstream.
Carbon brush change
The machine is equipped with a warning
light, which illuminates yellow during
critical carbon brush comparison. The
carbon brush must be replaced
immediately when the warning light lights
up!
Undo the screws.
Remove the lid.
Raise the spring and remove the carbon.
Clean the carbon brush holder.
Inset new carbon. At the same time it is essential
to observe the carbon arrangement.
Install the lid.
Tighten the screws.
CAUTION!
