Fault
The tool cannot be fired.
Tool jams.
Misfire: Less than normal
sound. The fastener is only
partly driven into the base
material.
The cartridge strip doesn't ad-
vance.
The cartridge strip cannot be
removed.
Possible cause
The tool is not cycled. The cartridge
has already been fired.
The tool was not pressed fully against
the working surface.
The tool is badly fouled with dirt and
residues.
The piston is damaged.
The tool is damaged.
The piston was in the wrong position.
Bad cartridges.
The cartridge strip is damaged.
The tool is badly fouled with dirt and
residues.
The tool is damaged.
The tool has overheated.
Remedy

Transport the used cartridge by cyc-
ling the tool or pull the cartridge strip
through manually to the next position.
Press the tool fully against the work-
ing surface.
Service the tool

Clean the tool.

Check the piston and replace it if ne-
cessary.

ton for wear
If the problem persists, contact your
local Hilti Center.
Remove the cartridge strip and cycle
the tool.

Change the cartridge strip (use a dif-
ferent / dry package if necessary).
If the problem persists, service the
tool.

Change the cartridge strip.
Clean the tool.

local Hilti Center.
Allow the tool to cool down.
Subsequently, carefully remove the
cartridge strip from the tool.

Never attempt to pry a cartridge from
the magazine strip or tool.
