Safety features
1. The adjustable pressure regulating valve
The tips given in recipes and cooking time tables are
reference values and should only be used as a guide. Use the pressure
regulating valve to select the desired cooking mode. The
advantage being, depending on the amount and size of the food,
you can individually adjust the pressure inside the pot using the
valve.

"Gentle setting" (Slow, organic cooking –
for steaming sensitive food such as vegetables, fish, etc.)

The "Speed setting" (for cooking and braising e.g.
meat, soups, stews, etc.)

Maximum pressure allowed for this pressure cooker:
1.8 bar/180 kPa
Please refer to the cooking time table at the end of these
instructions to learn the optimum cooking mode for your food.
2. The red safety valve
Even with low pressure build-up in the pot, the red safety valve
rises visibly and the pot is locked. When the safety valve retracts
back into the handle (back to the starting position), the pot is no
longer under pressure and may be opened.
