1. Make sure that the power trigger is locked
when the power trigger lockout is in its
original position.
2. Press the power trigger and make sure it
returns to its original position when you
release it.
3. Make sure that the power trigger and the
power trigger lockout moves freely and that
the return spring operates correctly.
4. Start the product, refer to
product on page 17 .
5. Apply full speed.
6. Release the power trigger and make sure
that the cutting attachment stops and
remains still.

WARNING:

• Only use approved guide bar/saw chain
combinations and filing equipment. Refer
Filing equipment and filing angles on
to
page 30 for instructions.
• Use protective gloves when you use or
do maintenance on the saw chain. A saw
chain that does not move can also cause
injuries.
• Keep the cutting teeth correctly sharpened.
Obey the instructions and use the
recommended file gauge. A saw chain
that is damaged or incorrectly sharpened
increases the risk of accidents.
• Keep the correct depth gauge setting.
Obey the instructions and use the
recommended depth gauge setting. Too
large depth gauge setting increases the
risk of kickback.
• Make sure that the saw chain has the
correct tension. If the saw chain is not
tight against the guide bar, the saw chain
can derail. An incorrect saw chain tension
increases wear on the guide bar, saw
chain and chain drive sprocket. Refer to
tension the chain on page 25 .
• Do maintenance on the cutting equipment
regularly and keep it correctly lubricated. If
the saw chain is not correctly lubricated,
