12. Maintenance

The hygiene flush must be serviced every 12 months and tested for suitable

functionality. This includes a function test of the shut-off and magnetic valves
(→ test function in the app). Additionally, the log allows you to draw conclusions
about past flushes.
Procedure for the functional test
1. Visual inspection of all components
2. Functional test of the shut-off valves: turn the valves by means of a screwdri-
ver into the various positions „closed, „flush", „in operation".
3. Function test of the solenoid valves:
- Open TECEsmartflush
- Establish connection to the hygiene flush
- Select menu item „valve test"
- Open left valve (warm) → visual and acoustic test whether water flows
- Open right valve (cold) → visual and acoustic test whether water flows

13. Service

Upgrading the hygiene flush unit
To upgrade the hygiene flush unit, proceed as follows:
• Remove the drainage valve from the tank.
• Undo the coupling nuts on the hygiene flush unit.
• Slide the hygiene flush unit backwards out of the bracket.
• Rotate the unit and remove it from the cistern
