– Screw the wooden pieces (max. height
95 mm) onto the fence rails. The screw
heads must be flush with the wood surface
or countersunk.

Extending the Saw Table

(see figure
C)
Long workpieces must be underlaid or support-
ed at their free end.
– Loosen both Allen screws 42 with the Allen
key 5 provided.
– Pull out the saw table extension 31 to the
stop and tighten the Allen screws again.

Mounting the Extension Bars

(see figure
D)
To extend the saw table additionally, extension
bars can be mounted both to the left or right of
the power tool.
– Insert the extension bars 43 on both sides of
the power tool to the stop in the drill holes
44 intended for this purpose.
– Firmly tighten the screws of the extension
bar.

Clamping the Workpiece

(see figure
E)
To ensure optimum working safety, the work-
piece must always be firmly clamped.
Do not saw workpieces that are too small to
clamp.
While clamping the workpiece, do not reach
under the clamping lever of the quick-
clamping fixture with your fingers.
– Press the workpiece firmly against the
fence 32.
– Insert the quick-action clamp 23 into one of
the holes 30 intended for it.
– Adapt the quick-action clamp to the work-
piece by turning the threaded rod 45.
– Push on the clamping lever 46 in order to
clamp the workpiece.

Adjusting the Cutting Angle

Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
To ensure precise cuts, the basic adjustment of
the machine must be checked and adjusted as
necessary after intensive use (see "Checking
and Adjusting the Basic Adjustment", page 65).
Always tighten the locking knob 27 firmly
before sawing. Otherwise the saw blade can
become wedged in the workpiece.
– Bring the power tool into the chop and mitre
saw working position. (see "Working Posi-
tion", page 59)

Adjusting Horizontal Standard Mitre Angles

For quick and precise adjustment of commonly
used mitre angles, detents 29 have been provid-
ed for on the saw table:
Left
Right
15°; 22.5°;
15°; 22.5°;
31.6°; 45°
31.6°; 45°
– Loosen the locking knob 27 in case it is tight-
ened.
– Pull lever 28 and rotate the saw table 24 left
or right to the requested detent.
– Release the lever again. The lever must be
felt to engage in the detent.

Adjusting Any Horizontal Mitre Angle

(see figure
G)
The horizontal mitre angle can be set in the
range from 48° (left side) to 48° (right side).
– Loosen the locking knob 27 in case it is tight-
ened.
– Pull lever 28 and at the same time push the
locking bracket 47 until it engages in the
groove intended for this. The saw table can
be moved freely now.
– Turn the saw table 24 left or right by the lock-
ing knob and adjust the requested mitre an-
gle with help of the fine scale 48. (also see
"Adjusting with Help of the Fine Scale",
page 61)
– Tighten the locking knob 27 again.
