Operation

The following work steps should have already been
performed by a qualified electrician so that the web
application can be used properly:
b The initial installation with the necessary set-
tings for the web application was carried out.
b The home setup with specifications for the
power grid, grid phases, current sensors, power
consumers was adapted.

Contact your specialist electrician if these steps
have not been carried out or have not been car-
ried out completely.

Opening the web application

Requirements for opening the web applica-
tion
You should have the following information to hand
when logging into the web application:
Letter containing access data for logging into the
web application
Access data for your domestic network
Access data for the user profile (to link it with
the Porsche ID)
The following browsers are supported by the web
application:
Google Chrome Version 57 or higher (recom-
mended)
Mozilla Firefox Version 52 or higher (recom-
mended)
Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 11 or higher
Microsoft Edge
Apple Safari Version 10 or higher
Making the connection to the energy man-
ager
If the energy manager was integrated in your exist-
ing home network (WiFi, Powerline Communication,
Ethernet) during setup, it is possible to access the
web application using the assigned IP address.
If there is no integration in a home network, the en-
ergy manager hotspot can be used as an alternative.
The WPS function that pairs the energy manager
with an existing home network, e.g. network router,
without inputting a password can also be used.
In addition, a direct connection to the router via an
Ethernet cable is possible as is a PLC pairing with a
PLC modem.

Information
When the end device is in a home network, it can no
longer access the web application via the IP address
of the hotspot (192.168.9.11) or the DNS address
(https://porsche.hem), but instead only via the au-
tomatically generated IP address or using the host
name.

b The end device and energy manager are in the
same network (WiFi, PLC or Ethernet).
1. Open the browser.
2. In the address bar of the browser, enter the IP
address that was assigned during configuration.
– or –
Enter the host name of the energy manager in
the browser's address bar.
Please note: Some routers permit access using
the host name.
Opening the web application via the hotspot
The energy manager offers a wireless access point
(hotspot), which is protected by a password and re-
quires a manual login. A WiFi-enabled end device
can connect with the hotspot and access the energy
manager's web application. Integration in the home
network can take place at any time in the web appli-
cation.

The energy manager can be paired with an existing
home network, e.g. network router, via the WPS
function without inputting a password.
