Information
Update: Phase-individual throttling
In the future, phase-individual throttling of the
charging current will be possible for Porsche vehicles
that are supplied with energy managers. The limit
value of the minimum charging current is then signif-
icantly lower and the charging session is no longer
interrupted by throttling.
Self-consumption optimization
The function is deactivated by default.
e
Activate the function using the switch.
If the function is activated, the vehicle can decide
whether it will continue the charging session with the
power supplied from the photovoltaic system after
the minimum charge is reached. Until the minimum
charge (specified as a percentage share of battery
capacity) is reached, the vehicle is charged with the
maximum possible power (which may be restricted
by the overload protection in place). After that, the
vehicle charges in an optimized fashion; i.e., if re-
quired, it will only charge when power is available
from the photovoltaic system that would otherwise
be fed into the power grid as excess.
The following conditions must be fulfilled for the
Self-consumption optimization function:
b Photovoltaic system (or another in-house power
generator) is configured in the energy manager.
b The Porsche Mobile Charger Connect charger is
used.
b Porsche Taycan: Charging profile that permits
optimized charging is activated in the vehicle.
Minimum charge is achieved.
Recommendation: Deactivate the Porsche Mo-
bile Charger Connect charger's sleep mode in the
charger's web application.
Cost-optimized charging
e
Activate the function using the switch.
The energy manager uses the data you entered to
generate tariff and output tables which it sends to
the vehicle via the charger. The vehicle detects the
temporal progress in the charging current price using
the tariff settings. Referencing ancillary conditions,
such as the timer, preconditioning, etc., the vehicle
can calculate a cost optimum and generate a charg-
ing plan. This is transmitted in turn to the energy
manager which monitors compliance with the charg-
ing current limit.
If several charging sessions are performed simultane-
ously, power distribution takes place in accordance
with the option selected under Overload protection.
Porsche Taycan: The vehicle is prioritized over other
vehicles with respect to the available power.
e
Activate function.
Information
This function is only suitable where there are time-
variable electricity tariffs.
Deactivate the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect
charger's sleep mode in the charger's web applica-
tion.
The overload protection of the energy manager can, if
required, restrict the distribution.
13. Summary
The summary provides an overview of the settings
made by you. The entries should be checked again.
Changing settings
e
Select the button for the setting you want to
change.
The selected installation step is opened and can
be edited.
After completion of the setup assistant, you are auto-
matically forwarded to the home setup of the web
application.
Information
If important settings are changed in the home in-
stallation, the setup assistant opens automatically.
There, the assistant must be run through to the end
from the changed step in order to check all settings
again.
Adapting Home Setup
After starting up the device for the first time, further
information is required on the connection position of
existing current sensors, on the phase assignment
in the domestic power grid and on power sources
and consumers that are measured. This information
is required for the Overload protection function.
Information
When the home setup is performed again, settings
made are automatically saved after 5 minutes of in-
activity.
1. Specifying grid phases
Specification of the number of phases leading from
the public power grid to your house or the place of
use (house connection).
