17 Operation
This chapter provides instructions on the proper operation of your vacuum sealer.
Please follow the hints to prevent dangers and damages.
17.1 Setting of vacuum time
You can set the vacuum time with + / - (10).
Different food and bag sizes require different vacuum time.
Large, partially empty bags require longer vacuum time as small bags.
17.2 Setting of sealing time
You can set the sealing time with + / - (11).
Sealing time depends on size and material of the bag, ambient temperature and type of
food. Increase sealing time by 2 seconds in cold ambient temperatures and when you use
wet bags.
17.3 Vacuum packaging with a bag in the vacuum chamber
Place the device on a dry surface. Take care that the working area in front of the device is
free from other objects and large enough to place the bags with food inside.
Place the food to be preserved inside the bag.
Clean and straighten the open end of the bag--ensure there are no wrinkles or ripples.
Please note
► Strike excessive air out of the bag for best vacuum result.
See drawing: 6 fixation
Lift up the handle. Open the lid of the device and place the open end of the bag over the
sealing bar and fixate it. The open end of the bag has to be inside the device.
