7. Operating and Setting the Direct-current Positioning
Drive DC1500/DA220C.
Operation
The DA220C controls contain all operating elements necessary for changing of
functions and the setting of several parameters . The controls can be operated without
control panel , a seam programming cannot be conducted.
Additionally, the V810 or V820 control panel can be connected to the controls and
these are available as optional equipment. Seam programming can be conducted with
the control panel V820.

Functions of the DA220C Controls
The functions of the DA220C controls are determined by the program and the settings
of the parameters. With the correct setting of the parameter values the controls are
optimally set for each class and subclass. The parameter values have been previously
set in the controls (preset). For each class and subclass individual parameters must be
changed in relation to the preset value. At delivery of the machines all parameters are
correctly preset.
Access Authorization for command entries
In order to prevent involuntary changes to preset functions the command entry is
divided to three levels.
Access granted to: - the operator to the "Operator Level" without a code number.
- the technician to the "Technician Level" and the
"Operator Level" via a code number.
- the supplier (machine manufacturer) to the "Supplier Level"
and all subordinate levels via a code number.
