Maintenance must only be carried out by suitably qualified personnel.

Storage and Disposal Requirements

The Smartsigns® LITE can be transported and stored in the
following environmental conditions:

For transport or storage, use the original packaging, including the
inserts, to protect the Smartsigns® LITE.

Contact local authorities for disposal requirements for electronic devices
and for lead-acid batteries. Do not throw the battery into domestic
waste.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire as this can cause them to explode.

It is recommended to disconnect the battery if the Smartsigns®
LITE is to be shipped or stored for longer than one month to
prolong the life of the battery.
Remove the two screws
and remove the battery
cover.
Disconnect the battery
and replace with a new
battery. ( Refer to
the'Storage and Disposal
Requirements' section
for battery disposal
instructions.)
Close the battery door
and secure it with the
two screws.
