Mounting the Saw Blade
If required, clean all parts to be mounted prior
to assembly.
– Place the new saw blade onto the interior
clamping flange 59.
Note: Do not use saw blades that are too small.
The clearance between saw blade and riving
knife must not exceed 5 mm (max.).
When mounting the saw blade, pay atten-
tion that the cutting direction of the teeth
(direction of arrow on saw blade) corre-
sponds with the direction of the arrow on
the blade guard and the lower saw blade
cover!
– Mount the exterior clamping flange 58 and
Allen screw 57.
Press the spindle lock 56 until it engages and
tighten the hexagon bolt in clockwise direc-
tion.
– Mount the insert plate 5 into the saw table.
– Mount laser unit 41 and blade guard 3 to the
riving knife 4. (see "Mounting the Laser Unit
and the Blade Guard", page 43)
– Check if the cutting line of the the saw blade
is properly indicated by the laser beam (see
"Adjusting the Laser", page 42).
The laser beam can be misadjusted when as-
sembling the laser unit 41 and the blade
guard 3.
Operation
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Transport and Working Position of the
Saw Blade
Transport Position
– Turn crank 18 anticlockwise, until blade
guard 3 faces against the saw table 7.
Working Position
– Turn the crank 18 clockwise, until the teeth
of the saw blade 28 are positioned above the
workpiece.

Increasing the Size of the Saw Table
Long workpieces must be underlaid or support-
ed at their free end.
The table extension 27 is used to widen or ex-
tend the saw table 7. It can be mounted either
on the left or right side, or to the rear of the saw
table. (see "Mounting the Table Extension",
page 44)
Additionally, the free end of the workpiece can
be supported (e.g., with the Bosch PTA 1000
roller stand) (see figure K). The roller balls en-
sure appropriate movability of the workpiece.
Adjusting Mitre Angles
(Universal Guide)
The mitre angle can be set in the range from 90°
(left side) to 90° (right side).
Adjusting Standard Mitre Angles
(see figure L1)
For swift and precise setting of commonly used
mitre angles, the universal guide engages at the
following standard angles:
± 90°/ ± 75°/ ± 67.5°/ ± 60°/
± 45°/ ± 30°/ ± 22.5°/ ± 15°/ 0°
– Loosen wing bolt 33, if tightened.
– Turn angle stop 35 until the desired mitre an-
gle engages.
– Tighten wing bolt 33 again.
Adjusting Any Mitre Angle (see figure L2)
– Loosen wing bolt 33, if tightened.
– Press lever 32 toward the front in the direc-
tion of the arrow and turn angle stop 35 until
the mark on guide rail 31 indicates the de-
sired mitre angle on the scale.
– Tighten wing bolt 33 again.
