WITH FUNCTIONAL STRAPPING
Properties:
• Elastic knit.
• Double lateral support strapping to maintain flexion-extension.
• Removable lateral support strap.
• Anti-slip system on the calf.
Indications:
• Functional treatment of mild to moderate sprains of the outer lateral
ligament.
• Resumption of occupational activities and sport after moderate to serious
sprains.
• Chronic hyperlaxity.
Contraindication:
Do not apply the product in direct contact with broken skin.
Do not use in the event of thiuram allergy.
Side effects:
No side effects are as yet known for correct use.
Fitting instructions:
- Slip on the ankle brace. The top comprises the closure tab.
- Close this tab (with the self-adhesive strip) to obtain a snug fit.
- Pull the first strap, wrap it around the ankle and fix it on the felt pad located
at the base (figures 1 and 2).
- Repeat this operation with the second strap (figure 3) : the ankle must be
firmly supported laterally with unhindered flexion-extension.
- If necessary, the ankle support may be reinforced. To do this, lay out the
removable strap on the ground, with the self-adhesive parts upwards. Then
place the foot on its midpart (figure 4), and pull the two ends up.
- Make an "8" crossover above the foot and fix the ends of the strap on the felt
pad at the top of the ankle brace (figure 5).
- For comfort during wear make sure the straps are not creased.
- To avoid any constriction problems, be careful not to over-tighten the straps.
Precautions:
Follow the advice of the professional who prescribed or supplied the product
Wearing this product, as with any compression product, could, in some
persons, cause cutaneous reactions (redness, erythema). Should this occur, it
is preferable to readjust or remove the product and ask the professional who
delivered the product for advice.
Store at room temperature, preferably in its original packaging.
For hygiene and performance reasons, do not re-use the product for another
patient.
Washing instructions:
- See product label.
- Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products (products
containing chlorine)
- Squeeze out excess water.
- Dry away from heat sources.

Zweckbestimmung:
Die Ligastrap
®
Malleo ist eine Sprunggelenksorthese mit Gurten zur
Stabilisierung des Sprunggelenkes. Die Orthese ist ausschließlich zur
Versorgung am Fuß einzusetzen.
Eigenschaften:
• Elastisches Strickgewebe.

• Abnehmbare seitliche Verstärkung.
• Abrutschsicherung am Knöchel.
Indikationen:
• Funktionelle The ra pie leichter und mittelschwerer Distorsionen.

Gegenanzeigen:
Die Bandage nicht im Bereich einer offenen Wunde anlegen.
Nicht verwenden bei Thiuram-Allergie.
Nebenwirkungen:
Bei sachgemäßer Anwendung sind Nebenwirkungen bis jetzt nicht bekannt.
Hinweise zum Anlegen:
- Bandage so überziehen, dass die Schließlasche oben aufliegt.
- Diese Lasche schließen und den Sitz kon trol lie ren.
- Erstes Band straffen, um den Knöchel he rum füh ren und auf dem Klett filz
des Un ter teils befestigen (Abb. 1 und 2).
- Eben so mit dem zwei ten Band ver fah ren (Abb. 3). Der Knö chel muß seit lich
sta bi li siert wer den, wobei ei ne gu te Flexions be we glich keit des Sprung ge-
lenks er hal ten blei ben soll.
- Die Stabilisierung des Knöchels kann gegebenenfalls verstärkt werden;
dazu den abnehmbaren Riemen mit den Klettverschlüssen nach oben
auf dem Boden ausbreiten. Den Fuß anschließend auf dessen Mitte (Schema
4) stellen und die beiden Enden nach oben ziehen.
- In Ach ter zü gen über den Fuß füh ren und am obe ren Klett filz befestigen
(Abb. 5).
- Even tuel le Band fal ten glät ten.
- Um eventuelle Blutstauungen zu vermeiden, darauf achten, die Riemen nicht
zu sehr anzuziehen.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:
Die Anweisungen des Arztes oder Orthopädietechnikers beachten. Das
Tragen dieses Produkts kann ebenso wie das Tragen eines beliebigen
anderen Kompressionsprodukts bei manchen Personen Hautreaktionen
auslösen (Rötungen, Erytheme). Gegebenenfalls Produkt neu anpassen oder
abnehmen und den Arzt oder Orthopädietechniker aufsuchen.
Bei Raumtemperatur, vorzugsweise in der Originalverpackung, aufbewahren.
Das Medizinprodukt ist zur einmaligen Versorgung eines Patienten vorgesehen. Zur
Gewährleistung der Wirksamkeit der Orthese und aus Hygienegründen sollte sie
nicht an andere Patienten weitergegeben werden.
Pflege:
- Siehe Produktetikett.
- Keine Reinigungsmittel, Weichspüler oder aggressive Produkte (chlorhaltige
Produkte) verwenden.
- Wasser gut ausdrücken.
- Abseits einer Wärmequelle trocknen.
