For Your Safety
Any use of the Dräger FPS 7000 Series facepieces requires
full understanding and strict observation of these Instructions
for Use.
Identical parts and functions are described once, specific dif-
ferences concerning connections are described individually in
tables.
Maintenance
The facepiece must be inspected and serviced regularly by
trained service personnel. Repair and general overhaul of the
facepiece may only be carried out by trained service personnel.
We recommend signing a service contract to have Dräger carry
out all maintenance jobs. Only authentic Dräger spare parts
may be used for maintenance. Notice the chapter "Maintenance
Intervals".
Accessories
Only use accessories mentioned in the order list.
Safety Instructions in these Instructions for Use
These Instructions for Use have warnings concerning risks and
dangers which can occur when using the full face mask. These
warnings contain signal words which will alert you to the
degree of hazard you may encounter. These signal words and
corresponding hazards are as follows:
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if no safety
precautions are taken, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in physical injury to you, or damage to
the product.
It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.
In addition, some general notes apply which look as follows:

Description
The Dräger FPS 7000 is available in various versions:
— as full face mask (consisting of mask body with rubber flaps
and head harness. A rubber harness or a hairnet can be used
as head harness.)
— as mask/helmet combination (consisting of mask body with-
out rubber flaps, with mask/helmet adapter H61 or H62 and
helmet)
The facepieces are available in following versions:
RA
round thread connection RD40x1/7" acc. to EN 148-1
for respiratory filters, self-contained breathing appara-
tus or line breathing apparatus
PE
threaded connection M45x3 acc. to EN 148-3 for self-
contained breathing apparatus or line breathing appa-
ratus
ESA
standard thread connection acc. to DIN 58600 for
self-contained breathing apparatus and line breathing
apparatus as well as for respiratory filter acc. to
EN 14387
Breathing apparatus marked with "A" can be combined
with this facepiece.
NOTICE
ESA
The exhalation resistances stipulated by EN 136 148
will not be met when a self-contained breathing appa-
ratus or respiratory filter with round thread connection
according to DIN EN 148-1 are used.

Plug connection (Dräger-specific) for self-contained
breathing apparatus or line breathing apparatus.
We recommend using Dräger facepieces only in combination
with Dräger breathing protection equipment. This ensures trou-
ble-free operation.
The facepieces can be used within a temperature range

C and +60
C.
Special goggles are available for users who wear spectacles.
Observe national regulations.
Intended Use
The facepieces of the Dräger FPS 7000 series protect the face
and the eyes against aggressive media. They can only be used
with approved self-contained breathing apparatus, fresh air
hose breathing apparatus or respiratory filters.
Approvals
The full face masks and the mask/helmet combinations are
approved according to EN 136:1998 CL.3+ and DIN 58610.
Both versions are marked with the CE mark of conformity. In
addition, they meet the flame engulfment requirements stipu-
lated in EN 137.
The facepieces are approved with the following self-contained
breathing apparatus series:
— PAS Standard
— PSS 90
— PSS 100
— PSS 7000
The following mask/helmet combinations are approved:
— Dräger FPS 7000 S/HPS
— Dräger FPS 7000 S/F1
— Dräger FPS 7000 S/Supra
— Dräger FPS 7000 Q/HPS
NOTICE
Full face masks must not be retrofitted to a mask-helmet com-
bination. Strictly follow the corresponding Instructions for Use
of the helmet.
