Dear Customer,
Thank you for placing your trust in a Bauerfeind product. The SacroLoc
you have purchased is a high-quality medical product.
Please read through all of these instructions for use carefully,
because they contain important information about the use, indications,
contraindications, application, care and disposal of the SacroLoc.
Please keep these instructions safe, as you may want to read them
again later. If you have any questions, please contact your physician or
medical retailer.
Purpose
SacroLoc is an orthosis
1
for stabilizing the pelvis and relieving the
sacroiliac joints and the muscles and ligaments involved. By stabilizing
the pelvis, SacroLoc relieves pain and helps you to regain your mobility.
Indications
• SI joint syndrome, SI joint arthrosis, SI joint instability, SI joint blockage
• Myalgia and tendonopathy in the pelvic region
• Pelvic girdle instability
• Symphysis rupture and symphysis loosening
• For prevention of relapsing SI joint blockages and myotendopathia
• In the case of structural disturbance following lumbar spinal
spondylodeses
Risks of using this product
Caution*
• SacroLoc must only be worn in accordance with the specifications
contained in these instructions and used for the areas of application
(places of use) listed.
• No product liability is accepted in the event of improper use.
• The suitability and use of the orthosis
determined by a physician on a case-by-case basis. If wearing the
orthosis1 during pregnancy feels uncomfortable, check size adjust-
ments and application technique, seek medical advice, and refrain
from further use if necessary. Side effects for the mother and fetus
are not known.
• Only a specialist

may provide instruction.
• Use in combination with other products, e. g. as part of compression
treatment (medical compression stockings), must be discussed
beforehand with your physician.
• The SacroLoc is to be worn under your T-shirt or undershirt.
• If your symptoms get worse or you notice unusual changes to your
body, please contact your physician without delay.
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any substances including grease
or acids.
• Side effects involving the body as a whole have not been reported
to date. Correct fitting is assumed. Do not put the SacroLoc on too
tightly as this could lead to local pressure symptoms. In rare cases,
constriction of blood vessels and nerves may occur.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity reactions harmful to health have not been reported
to date. In the following conditions such aids should only be fitted and
applied after consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders / injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly
if inflammation is present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling,
redness and excessive heat build-up
• Impaired sensation and movement disorders, e. g. in the case of
diabetes mellitus

Putting the product on

Care instructions
Note: Never expose the SacroLoc to direct heat (e. g. heater, sunlight,
in your car, etc.)! This may cause damage to the material, which can
impair the effectiveness of the SacroLoc.
The sewn-in label of the the SacroLoc, containing information about
the product name, size, manufacturer, washing instructions and CE
identification, is located on the inside of the knitted fabric.
If necessary, you can wash the SacroLoc by hand with a mild detergent.

The SacroLoc is supplied in a standard size and ready for use.
Technical specifications / parameters
The SacroLoc is an orthosis
made of a knitted fabric with removable back pads. The pack pads are
attached with an unremovable terrycloth cover. The back pads can be
supplied as spare parts.
Information about re-use
The SacroLoc is intended for your treatment only. For this reason, do
not pass the SacroLoc on to other people.
Warranty
The legal provisions of the country in which the product was
purchased apply. Country-specific warranty regulations that govern
the relationship between the retailer and the buyer also apply where
relevant. If you believe that a claim may be made under the warranty,
please first contact the retailer from which you purchased the product
directly.
Please do not make any changes to the product yourself. Please follow
our instructions for use and care. These are based on our experience
gained over many years and ensure the functionality of our medically
effective products for a long time. Only aids that function optimally
can help you. Failure to follow the instructions may also restrict the
warranty.
Disposal
You can dispose of the product in accordance with national legal
requirements.

General notes
Check the optimal and individual fit of the SacroLoc after the first
fitting.
Practice the correct procedure for putting on the orthosis with the
patient.
The product must not be changed in any improper way. Failure
to comply with this requirement may adversely affect product
performance, thereby voiding any product liability.
